Littletreebeijing.com is a site devoted to sharing the research, activities and adventures concerning the search for unique perspectives on history in today’s China by naturalized Japanese citizen Virginia Stibbs Anami. One example is looking at Beijing history via its ancient trees and waterways or through its Buddhist temples built through the ages. Another is exploring the pathways taken in 9th century China by a Japanese monk using his diary. Attempting to shed light on the not so well known Liao and Jin Dynasties has also been a focus of her on-site investigations covering about thirty years. “Ginny’s” interviews of local people and photography make the stories of history come alive and relevant to the present day. This site will afford easy access to her publications, interviews and exhibitions as well as links to materials on past and present events. Touch the zodiac animal seals to take you through the various paths.
